Trump confirms US attacks three nuclear sites in Iran

(MENAFN) U.S. President Donald Trump has verified that American military forces carried out a significant offensive targeting three nuclear-related facilities in Iran, signaling a sharp escalation in the conflict involving Tehran and Israel.

As reported, Trump made the announcement early Sunday through a post on Truth Social, specifying that the targeted locations were Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—all critical components of Iran’s nuclear program.

“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan,” Trump wrote. “All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home.”

Reports from U.S. sources indicate that B-2 stealth aircraft were deployed to drop specialized bombs capable of penetrating fortified structures, while several Tomahawk cruise missiles were launched from American submarines stationed in the region.

Trump commended the operation as a powerful display of America’s defense capabilities. “Congratulations to our great American warriors,” he said. “There is not another military in the world that could have done this.” At the same time, he suggested a desire to de-escalate the situation, stating it was now “time for peace.”

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi strongly denounced the strikes, calling them illegal and contrary to international agreements. He declared that “Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interests, and people.”

Before the U.S. operation, Iran’s armed forces had warned against foreign involvement in the hostilities, cautioning that any external interference or military support to Israel would be met with counterattacks on enemy assets and weapons shipments.
