This crucial maritime route enables the transportation of Middle Eastern petroleum and liquefied natural gas (LNG) to international markets through the Sea of Oman and the Indian Ocean.

The Strait of Hormuz plays a critical role in global energy logistics. Nearly one-third of the world’s seaborne crude oil exports pass through this narrow passage, along with 20 percent of LNG shipments.
Asian nations, in particular, are major importers of energy resources originating from this region.
